Earlier this week I posted pictures of Storm hogging playing with a new toy in the snow.  Thunder only had the toy a short time before Storm stole found it.  Thunder did not care too much because he would much rather jump snow piles than play with a silly rubber toy.  For a senior dog (he will turn 9 in March), Thunder has not slowed down a bit.

We ended up with some high piles after hubby did some plowing of the 10 inches of snow that was on the ground.  Perfect for jumping.

Here are a few photos of his jump fest!

We are headed to the big dog show with Freighter on Saturday and Sunday.  I won’t be able to take pictures on Saturday (more on why next week), but I hope to have a chance to snap a few on Sunday.

Have a great weekend!

  1. Nice to see Thunder enjoying himself so much. No sign of snow here despite the fact it has got a bit colder. Have a fabulous Friday.
    Best wishes Molly

  2. I can’t get enough of seeing them have fun in the snow! Great pictures 🙂 I do hope we get at least a smattering of snow this year – alas, I think our weather’s drunk and needs to take itself off to bed!

  3. Good luck at the show!!!! Can’t make it this time around due to being BROKE! lol That, and I have to read a book to review for Monday for Cody’s blog. Best of luck! Loved the photos, Dakota is so much smaller than your two that he would be buried in those piles!

    1. Thanks. The show was packed on Saturday. They seem to be packing more stuff in to that building and it is too much.

  4. Wow! Thunder really knows how to enjoy the snow! It looks like he is having such fun! Best of luck at the show!!! We will have our paws crossed for you over here.

    1. Thunder has always loved snow. Thanks for the good wishes.

    1. Snow is tough to shoot. I had trees in the background but they also make deep shade on really sunny days. I have a tough time taking pictures in that area.

  5. I love the picture of him next to the tree, readying himself to jump. Good luck this weekend.

  6. And who does snow angels or snakes across the yard? All that leaping about is great exercise!
Thunder is looking like a muscle machine. Have a successful weekend.

    1. He is still pretty toned which is great considering his age.

  7. Now that looks like a great workout! I think I saw on Facebook that it’s going well at the show….yay!

  8. Nice jumping going on there sweet Thunder. That snow looks pretty deep. Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend. Hugs and nose kisses

    1. It was pretty deep. We had about 10 inches. The piles were much higher.

  9. Ahhh it looks like they’re having so much fun! It’s photos like these that make me wish we lived somewhere where it snows (or at least somewhere where it snows nearby!)

    1. Snow is fun for a bit, but I do get tired of it. Dawgs never get tired of it. 🙂
